Ayurvedic and Herbal
In Sri Lanka Ayurveda medicine is based on the country’s centuries old treasure trove of indigenous knowledge base, natural environment and cultural repertory. According to archeological evidence, human civilisation dates back 30,000 years. Cave men of that age domesticated many wild plant varieties and used them for food and medicines.

Known among locals as Ranawara and scientifically as Cassia auriculata, it is a much-branched shrub with yellow flowers and darker veins. The Ranawara plant has been a herbal remedy for centuries and is used for various ailments as well as a remedy to enhance a clear skin complexion. Our Ranawara flowers have been collected by homegrown and small-scale farmers and packed under hygienic conditions while the dehydrating process is done under low temperatures to ensure all their natural nutrients are unharmed and intact.
You can simply add some hot water to a few flowers and drink it as a herbal concoction or add some crushed flowers to your favorite porridge in the morning. Ranawara is known to detoxify your body and reduce body heat, help with skin diseases, excessive bleeding, diabetes, excessive thirst, and also for heartburn, gastric attacks, and bowel disorders. The dried flowers are mainly used as an alternative for tea.
